    I hadn’t realized there were two options. I only listened to the first podcast that appeared in your overcast feed.

    I preferred the original Rise of the Planet of the Apes. In the sequels Caesar has less of an arc, as he’s just this saintly leader type who tries to do the right thing while people around him let him down. The humans also become less interesting in the sequels. I had already seen Matt Reeves’ inferior remake of “Let the Right One In” by the time I saw his Apes sequels, but I think I was able to keep them separate in my head to give a fair judgment.

    Predestination/determinism seems to be the only philosophically consistent theory, either under scientific materialism or Calvinism. It was my understanding that the Evangelical churches were for the most part Calvinist in their theology.
